Dana White Probably Hasn’t Been Called This Before

"He called me f**king what?"

Over the course of his controversial career, UFC head honcho Dana White has likely been called a wide assortment of colorful names, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that he’s never been called a “dog in a manger”, which is what he was called by M-1 Executive Vladim Finklestein over the weekend.

From Fighters Only:

“We want to have three fights. One in Russia, one in Europe, and one in the USA. We really want to get a rematch with Werdum but he is locked up in the prison called ‘UFC’ and because of that, arranging for him to fight Fedor would be very difficult,” he said.

“Dana White is like a dog lying on hay – he does not eat it himself but will not let anyone else eat it either. There are many other good fighters under consideration, such as Josh Barnett. We need to wait for the Strikeforce heavyweight tournament to end and then we can see how likely it is that we can arrange a fight.”

Perhaps Vadim was getting festive with the manger reference. Chalk this up as another jab in the ongoing saga of Dana vs. Fedor’s management. I can’t wait for the response from Dana calling Fedor a scrub or something.
